Today is Macy's birthday! Macy is the little adorable dog that belongs to the wonderful family I am staying with. Today was filled with some fun office firsts, here is the run down:
-First time making a phone call from my desk phone
-First time making a copy at the office
-First time eating out with coworkers
-First time drafting an office memorandum
-First office party
Some of these sound silly, but they were still firsts and deserve to be noted! Much of today was spent bundling marketing materials. There were 150+ bags that had to be filled according to what each business requested, stuffed with thank you letters and a map. These were all then divided by region and labeled as such. This took most of the day. Small tasks included labeling folders, cleaning up spread sheets, and filing papers. Lunch was a blast with Mere, my boss Karen, and her boss Rena. The office party was Starbucks themed, so there was coffee and snacks all around! It was a great day!
Tonight, Morgan (My surrogate 17 year old sister) and I worked on a puzzle and Hill (my surrogate 19 year old sister) jumped in too. We ate dinner and talked, and then Amanda (Mom), Kent (Dad), Morgan and I went to Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt. This place was AWESOME! It's self serve machines and toppings and then you just pay by weight. It was super stinkin cool! There are some definite perks to living in Carmel, IN. :-) All around it was a fantastic day! Keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming. I miss you all!!
