Hey all! Thursday was a POP party! POP stands for Proof of Performance. We worked on putting them together for the Women's Health Event as well as getting materials together for Wine Fest. POPs include everything from logs of TV and radio spots, to E-blasts, to copies of magazine ads, memos, the event webiste, programs and tickets. After much copying and printing, the massive assembly process began. My legs and back got a work out as these were all in piles on the floor. This pretty much concluded the day.
Friday was packed full of fun stuff! The morning began with Mere and I running all over town doing some poster delivery. We then returned to the office and worked on a marketing pitch packet for another WFYI event. This included some painstaking "one centimeter this way, one centimeter that" work on the computer, but we had to leave this project unfinished for a fun field trip. We did a sight visit to the Roof Ballroom and it was AMAZING! The main circle of the ballroom is designed to make you feel like you are in a Tuscan village, complete with balconies, windows, and sky with twinkling stars. It has a huge, gorgeous bar and everything is draped in curtains. There is not a detail left untouched with even the carpeting and ceiling ornately decorated. It is such a cool space and really got me excited about the event to see where it is all going to take place. There was some clarification made to how many people are allowed in the space, and pictures were taken to plan where different booths and vendors will be set up. Then the 5 of us (Me, Meredith, Rena, Karen and Jenny Jones) went to Panera for lunch. We returned from lunch and Mere and I dug in on finishing the pitch packet, and sent it printed and bound to the higher-ups to be checked for mass production on Monday. We finished the day with a few more poster deliveries on Mass Ave. and some last minute mailing before heading into the weekend. All-in-all it was a very productive and rewarding day! We had a blast, accomplished a lot, and got some great ideas on the table. Mere and I are also in charge of designing centerpieces for the cocktail tables at Wine Fest. So fun! Well, that is it for now! Thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes. I love hearing that you all are actually reading this thing, lol. Talk to you all soon!
