Days 5,6, and 7

Hello all! Sorry I have not posted in a while.  My laptop has decided it will not allow me to enter new posts on my blog, so I had to wait until I had a few free minutes at my work computer to do so. Well, here is the update:

Day 5 (Friday) Friday was a rather low key day.  It included some intern paper work, some office memos, recontacting unreachable wineries and my first office meeting.  It was a tying up loose ends kind of day and I headed into the weekend feeling great about what I had been able to accomplish in the first week.

Friday night I returned to the Fort for the weekend, and I finished my John Grisham book.  Friday night I hung out with my oldest friend Corynn and we caught up and flipped through wedding magazines, getting ideas for her July 2012 wedding.  Saturday was spent at home, but it was great! I slept in and spent the day boxing up and reorganizing Christmas ornaments, as well as enjoying a few hours of being an only child with Emma and Christine both at a debate meet.  The 'rents and I ordered Chinese food and watched the devestating Colts loss.  Luckily, Sunday was enough fun to help me quickly get over the Colts defeat.  Church in the morning, followed by a Bridal Show.  Mom, Aunt Chrissy, Tino and myself perused and sampled and had a great time picking and planning for Tino's big day.  At 2 o'clock was the fashion show that Corynn was in. Immediately following I walked around with Corynn, her grandmother and mother to help pick and plan for her wedding.  A few of the vendors looked at me quizically, and one even mentioned having seen me with a different bride hours earlier.  This vendor was a party supply rental company, and I told her I am a professional Maid of Honor, and if she would like to hire me and rent me out to needy, friendless brides I would be more than interested. ;-) The day concluded with a trip back to Indy and a Greenbay Packers win!!!!! Go Pack!!

Day 6 (Monday) I was excited to get back to work! The morning started with emails and phone calls, printing and filing the winery forms and information that had been sent in over the weekend, as well as recalling all of my assigned wineries to update them on the information needed for their wine list. From 10:30-2 my boss, Karen, and I ran around downtown Indy distributing posters and fliers.  This was fun, and there was a even one hotel where a very nice doorman opened my cardoor for me. :-) Karen and I grabbed lunch after speaking with a very nice man at Easley Winery and finding out that he had once taught in Fort Wayne. The world is a very small place sometimes. ;-) Returning to the office I finished up phone calls and left 30 minutes early to distribute some posters in the Carmel area.

Day 7 (Tuesday) SNOW DAY!!!!! woot woot! It was snowing cats and dogs and Mere and I were so caught up on our work that Karen instructed us not to risk the weather and just stay in.  Well, my body clock would not allow me to sleep in, but I enjoyed a day of relaxing, catching up on Brothers and Sisters episodes, working on some Underground Printing stuff, and looking over finances.  It was a nice break day.

Well, that is it for now! I will try to update more frequently now that I know where I need to do it from.  As far as my surrogate home life goes, I 'm still loving it. Hill, Morgan and I continue to nerdily dive into puzzles every night as we laugh at the people on the TV show Baggage.  Yes people, I know it is a trashy show, but that is why it is so darn funny. :-) Thanks for all the love, prayers, and positive thoughts sent my way.  I'm learning what it is to copletely love what you are doing, and be generally excited about what each day has to hold. I know that what I am working on is a career and not a job, I truly could not be more excited about what my future has in store.  Talk to you soon!
